
Passion Project: In Concert
Marissa served as the Music Intern for Passion Project: In Concert at the GreenRoom 42, a song cycle where 12 brilliant women sing to their great loves: the object of their careers, featuring original music and lyrics by Angela Sclafani. Under the music direction of (and with orchestrations by) Macy Schmidt, Marissa did copy work, transcribed music, edited band charts, and took notes during the rehearsal process. Party Worth Crashing
Marissa's first production as Music Director was Kerrigan-Lowdermilk's Party Worth Crashing. Party Worth Crashing is a 16-song build-your-own-show style song cycle in which theater companies license any 16 of Kerrigan-Lowdermilk's songs and create a show from scratch. In this position, Marissa taught music and rehearsed the cast, serving also as rehearsal accompanist, organized and rehearsed the pit orchestra, arranged and transposed pit books, and conducted the show.
Godspell
Marissa was the Assistant Music Director for the Ashley Lauren Foundation Theatre Company's production of Godspell. In this role she helped rehearse the cast, took and gave notes at rehearsals, and programmed and played the Keyboard 2 book.
Assassins
Marissa served as Assistant Music Director for Rider University's production of Assassins. Marissa taught ensemble music, rehearsed the ensemble, took and gave notes, rehearsed understudies and swings, and occasionally played rehearsal piano.
Cabaret for Hope
Marissa is currently serving as the Assistant Music Director for the Ashley Lauren Foundation Theatre Ensemble's Cabaret for Hope, a benefit to raise money for the Foundation. She has been rehearsing the cast, playing rehearsal piano, taking and giving notes, and working on vocal arrangements and recording tracks in Logic Pro X.
Keyboards
Marissa also plays keyboard in pit orchestras and programs keyboards through MainStage. Some shows she has played include The Drowsy Chaperone, Willy Wonka, and Baby: The Musical.
